Epoxidized Vegetable Oils

Cargill has acquired Arkema's epoxides business in order to supply the growing need for bio-based solutions in the plasticizers and polyols market.

Included, Cargill will gain full control of the Arkema production process based in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota. This investment will give Cargill end-to-end capabilities to transform vegetable oil into highly functional compounds with performance benefits that customers demand.

In the coming months, Cargill will be including the Vikoflex®, Vikolox®, Vikinol®, and Vikopol® brands into its existing Bioindustrial portfolio.
